Counting Cars

When we are young one of the first things we learn is how to count. So why are the ERYC unable to count cars? ERYC have permitted development in Pocklington Provincial on the basis of each home having 0.7 cars. This is insane.

West Green Car Park

Simple Maths Lesson

  • ERYC = 0.7 cars per house x 1,300 new houses = 910 extra cars
  • Strangeway = 1.5 cars per house x 1,300 new houses = 1,950 extra cars

Based on the simple maths lesson, ERYC have underestimated by over 1,000 extra cars. This is gross incompetence. Where are they all going to park?

Decision Maker

The Portfolio holder for planning is Conservative Councillor Andy Burton. What makes it worse is that Andy lives in Pocklington Provincial in Barmby Moor. Should we all club together and buy Andy a new pair of glasses?

Subject: Counting Cars

Dear Andy,

Could I please refer you to

Could you please explain to me and the voters of Pocklington Provincial why ERYC believe that 0.7 is the average number of cars per house in Pocklington Provincial?

Could you please provide evidence to support this belief?

Kindest Regards,

Andy Strangeway
