The land between The Balk and Burnby Lane is allocated in the East Riding Local Plan for residential development. The allocation requires, amongst other things, a link road to be provided between The Balk and Burnby Lane.

There is no scheduled timescale for the construction of The Balk to Burnby Lane link road but I can advise that it will form part of the 4th phase of development in the area.   Phase 1 (accessed from West Green and including the doctor’s surgery) has been built and phases 2 (The Balk area)and 3a (adjacent to phase 1) are currently under construction.
