At the Stamford Bridge Flooding Meeting I was surprised how it was accepted that Stamford Bridge would not receive a permanent pump. I suggested to the ERYC Officer that this is merely about finance and taking responsibility. Upon this suggestion the officer went away to attempt to move things forward.

A Step Nearer

The officer has now informed me that:

“I met with a Contractor who specialises in the supply and installation of permanent pump systems on 22nd April. They have now provided me with a specification and estimate for 2no options.
I have discussed funding with the Councils Asset Strategy Team, who are exploring potential funding streams. I now need to prepare and submit an Engineers report  to our Asset Strategy Team which will support any future funding bids.
I will keep you updated with our progress”
