I am shocked to learn that by the end of 2017/18 many East Riding schools will be in debt.
I am informed that 34 out of 116 Primary Schools and 9 out of 11 Secondary Schools will be in debt within a year.
Furthermore, I am informed that within two years all 11 Secondary Schools will be in debt.
Information Requested
As schools going into debt would mean a sub standard education for East Riding children I have requested the following information.
- Number of Primary and Secondary Schools expected to be in debt by the end of 2017/18.
- Number of Primary and Secondary Schools expected to be in debt by the end of 2018/19.
- Is the lack of funding from National Government the reason for our schools expected to be in debt?
