Last Thursday Wilberfoss Parish Council raised safety concerns regards the large hole near to public footpaths.

ERYC have confirmed:

“The hole is in fact a ditch that has been piped.  The camber of the path slopes to the ditch and it has worn away to the ditch edge. I have asked a contractor to do some remedial work.

I also noticed a sleeper bridge that, although is reasonably sound is very slippery, I have asked that a formal bridge structure is put in place , this will  have a non slip surface and a handrail.”
