I have looked into the misleading ERYC Council Tax information in the same manner that residents have. Caroline Lacey this afternoon provide some further information which confirms that the ERYC Council Tax bill is correct BUT……

Although Caroline correctly stated:

“The regulations also identify information which billing authorities must include in explanatory notes to the bill.  Billing authorities are permitted to publish these explanatory notes on their website, and these can be found on the Council’s website at http://www2.eastriding.gov.uk/housing/council-tax/“

Where the required information is is anyones guess but it would appear that ERYC have fulfilled their legal requirement.

Alas, this is not the case.

I will now suggest to Caroline Lacey that due to this failure notices must be sent to all properties with the correct link.
