ERYC have confirmed that they do not have an external Email Retrieval System.

“We do have an email retrieval system in place but only for internal emails, not those sent to external email addresses.  When a data breach incident occurs such as this one, we do review all our procedures to see if we can take steps to avoid any repeat in the future.  I have passed your comments on to the relevant officers for their consideration.”

I raised this issue as a result of ERYC having breached the Data of 600 residents  which involved “users of a children’s centre in Hedon” this has major safe guarding issues.

If ERYC had a system in place, as many businesses do, it could have prevented much of the Data breach.
