Many, including Pocklington Town Council, have objected to recent planning in Pocklington. As explained on the Planning page a key way to ensure our local voice is heard is to produce a Neighbourhood Plan.A Neighbourhood Plan can shape planning at a local level. Every Parish/Town Council in England have had six years to produced a Neighbourhood plan. This week I discussed progress being made on the Pocklington Neighbourhood Plan with ERYC officers.
The designated neighbourhood area was agreed in April 2014 but there is no further information.
As only the Town Council can produce the Neighbourhood Plan for Pocklington I have requested the Town Clerk to inform me when they expected the plan to be in place.
Please see Woodcote Neighbourhood Plan for an example of what a Neighbourhood Plan can cover.
