In ERYC IT System Failure – Councillors Targeted I stated:

“A system set up by ERYC was used yesterday and overnight to target Councillors with an email containing a suspected virus.

ERYC need to carry out a full investigation to prevent this happening again and also to create a secure system to communicate with adoptive carers.”

ERYC Action And Apology

Today we was informed:

“As soon as IT Services became aware of the spam attack, the messages were blocked from all accounts.  The account has been closed down whilst alternative solutions are investigated.  Apologies for any inconvenience caused.”
