Stamford Bridge Foul Smells From Sewer

Yesterday, at my surgery in Stamford Bridge, several residents raised the issue of foul-smelling drains on the Main Street. It is thought that the sewage from HMP Full Sutton is pushed down to Stamford Bridge and is the cause of the smells.

Objections To Planning Applications

“Impact on the neighbourhood” and “the availability of infrastructure” are material considerations and  “disturbance from smells” is an issue that may be considered.

Given the application for a new prison in Full Sutton I have requested ERYC/Yorkshire Water undertake an urgent investigation into the foul smells.

Failure to do so could prevent the planning application for the new Full Sutton prison being approved.

B, D and J – Thank you for drawing this to my attention.
