Pavement, Pocklington – Improved Disability Access

I am delighted to announce that following my meeting with Paul Bellotti, ERYC Director of Environment and Neighbourhood Service The Pavement, Pocklington will see improved disability access.

My comments:

  1. The pavement on the shops side of the illustrated crossing is at least 1500mm wide to allow for a wheelchair to turn comfortably.
  2. The tactile paving needs to be laid in accordance with the official guidance.
  3. There could do to be some sort of marking or signage on the crossing point that makes it clear to drivers entering or exiting the car park that they need to be on the lookout for people crossing.
