A fundamental aspect of a Parish/Town Council duties is to consider Planning Applications in their area.
At the Town Council Meeting on 28th June 2017 the Pocklington Flood alleviation Scheme was discussed.
Town Councillors stated “that they had to take the scheme on “Face Value” and accept the advice given from ERYC otherwise the Town Council could be in real trouble from irate people if there is another flooding incident.”
This was witnessed by members of the public.
Such a failure to represent their residents by questioning ERYC can only be described as cowardice.
