Tomorrow I will be the only Independent ERYC Councillor to address the Planning Committee with regards the new Full Sutton Prison application.
Residents should be aware that this is only the outline stage. I believe the main, and possibly only, material consideration to be the foul-smelling sewers. I will raise this at the reserved matters stage along with a request for conditions.
Both Yorkshire Water and the Lead Local Flood Authority have recommended conditions requiring details of the drainage arrangements (including sewage as well as surface water), which are expected to be submitted in full at reserved matters stage.
At outline stage the applicants only need to supply a ‘drainage strategy’ and full details to satisfy all the relevant authorities will follow later.
As a Ward Councillor not on the Planning Committee I can make requests but will be unable to vote.
Three local Councillors do have a vote.
- Councillor David Rudd – Conservative – Wolds Weighton
- Councillor Mike Stathers – Conservative – Wolds Weighton
- Councillor Kay West – Conservative – Pocklington Provincial
Full Sutton Parish Council
I am hearing that Full Sutton Parish Council are against the application. If they believe they are aware of any material considerations I would happily meet with them to hear their concerns.
If these concerns are valid at the outline stage I would consider raising them.
Full Sutton Parish Council have not contacted me to raise their concerns.
