Often ERYC do not deal with safeguarding issues in the interests of residents. They bury their heads and defend their position.
The reason being is that it is ERYC safeguarding who are often the issue.
Case 1
NB: This case I can only say so much to protect the victim.
A young lady with adult learning difficulties within 24 hours was going to be faced with a life changing decision imposed on her by ERYC. I intervened and the outcome was very different.
Case 2
Stamford Bridge school refused to give a child water. I attend a meeting with the parents and the school. All the school had to do was provide a report of the investigation and an acceptable apology to the parents.
They failed to do this. As a result The Press covered the story. By doing so exposing the failings of both the school and ERYC safeguarding. This could have been avoided if there was no policy of defend our position.
Learn Lessons
With both of these cases I have met with Kevin Hall, ERYC Director of Children, Families and Schools.
I am aware of other cases of ERYC conducting themselves in a similar manner. I have had sight of many documents which prove it and the name Kevin Hall is on many of those documents.
In the light of the two cases stated ERYC must now realise their policy of defend our position is past its sell by date.

Dear Kevin,
Could I please refer you to https://andystrangewayindependent.com/2017/07/25/eryc-safeguarding-policy-defend-our-position/
Could I request that ERYC cease to defend our position?
