I am informed that four accidents occurred last night on the A166 as you leave Stamford Bridge Eastbound.

As can be seen below cars have hit the traffic island as there is no white markings around it. I have reported this to ERYC and they are scheduled to put cones/barriers around the exposed kerbs today.

I have requested ERYC take immediate action to permanently address the dangerous traffic island. In addition I have requested that all ERYC traffic islands are inspected to ensure they are correctly installed.

I expect those involved in last nights accidents will now be taking legal advice.
