I would like to congratulate members sitting on the planning committee this afternoon for making two appropriate decisions in relation to Pocklington.

Pocklington Flood Alleviation Scheme

This was approved.

I disagree with the suitability of the PFAS but I fully support the decision of the members as there was no planning reason for refusal

The Mile Development

This was deferred to consider:

1. Affordable Housing
2. Density
3. Housing Mix
4. The southern boundary footpath
5. Car Parking

I fully support appropriate development on this site but not for 197 dwellings. I support the decision to defer for the reasons stated.

Well Done

Over recent months I have raised serious questions regards ERYC planning. Today I congratulate members for the decisions reached. Well done everyone.
