PTC Agree To Level Three Emergency Plan

It is looking like the saga of Pocklington Town Council (PTC) producing a robust Level 3 Emergency Plan will soon come to fruition.

Previously PTC had stated their Emergency Plan was fit for purpose. This was true to Level 1 and Level 2.

  • Level 1 – Gather some key community contact numbers and share them with the emergency services.
  • Level 2 – Gather key contact numbers, identify local resources like a village hall, and think about preparing an emergency box.

My Opinion

My opinion has always been that a Level 3 was required.

Level 3 – Get key contact numbers, identify local resources and prepare an emergency box, identify people who might be vulnerable in an emergency, and people with skills and resources that would be willing to help in an emergency.

The additional vital aspects of Level 3:

  1. Identify people who might be vulnerable in an emergency
  2. People with skills and resources that would be willing to help in an emergency.

Pocklington Post

PTC have agreed to put an article in the Pocklington Post promoting the plan and asking for volunteers.

Be Grateful

We should be grateful that PTC have finally seen sense and agreed to produce a Level 3 Emergency Plan.
