In last weeks Pocklington Post there was mention of a petition for a new crossing in Stamford Bridge. The link to a petition was nothing to do with a Stamford Bridge crossing.
As I have heard rumours that if no new crossing is built this could prevent approval of planning applications going forward I requested an opinion from ERYC planning. I was informed:
“Highway capacity related to the bridge was one of the reasons why the recent planning application for 210 dwellings by Gladman (adjacent to the Avant Homes development) was refused.”
Obviously there is much to consider in this ongoing debate. I can see positives and negatives.
