This morning ERYC Leader of the Opposition Labour Cllr Pat O’Neil  sent out an email containing an amendment for the budget to fellow Councillors.

Attached was the stated reasons for the amendment from Labour Cllr Paul Hogan. One of the reasons was:

“With the planned introduction of Universal Credit to the East Riding”.

Sadly this demonstrates that the ERYC Labour Group have no understand how Universal Credit is being rolled out across the East Riding.

Universal Credit is already introduced in part of the East Riding – Pocklington Provincial.

You would think a comprehensive understanding of how benefits are applied across the East Riding would be basic knowledge for the ERYC Labour Group.

Obviously not.
