East Riding of Yorkshire Council (ERYC) have lost an Employment Tribunal to a lay representative. This cost ERYC £8,842 plus their legal fees.
Did Mathew Buckley, ERYC Head of Legal and Democratic Services, once again fail to understand the most simple of legislation? Why do ERYC employ a Head of Legal who, based on this case, appears to have less knowledge than a lay representative?
