Last Tuesday I met with Kevin Hall, ERYC Director of Children, Families and Schools, and an officer to discuss the case of Child A.
Following on from this a further meeting took place yesterday with the mother, a representative of the mother, two ERYC officers and myself. I am pleased to confirm a framework has been agreed to move the situation forward.
Part of my elected duty is to hold ERYC to account. This I will always do. But as important is to find ways how we can work together for the benefit of residents. With this case we now have an agreed starting point. I am confident it will now progress in the right direction.
Collectively we need to build confidence in the SEND process.
I would like to thank Kevin and the two officers for working with me to ensure the best possible support for Child A.
