The relatively minor flooding outside the New Inn which needed addressing is now hopefully resolved.

The photo above, which is of the drains outside the New Inn, Stamford Bridge, shows two drains. Between the two drains was a bung. ERYC had the opinion that by removing the bung between the two drains it would solve the flooding issue as this would allow the water to go directly to the pumps.

ERYC have confirmed:

“We received approval last week from Yorkshire Water to remove the bung, which we have now done.”

Well done ERYC and Yorkshire Water.
