Stamford Bridge Flooding: Request Lift To Kerbs

Late on Thursday evening Stamford Bridge experienced flooding. This was despite the addition of the permanent pumps and the connecting of the drainage system outside the New Inn pub.

Such was the volume of rain, although both coped well, this did not prevent the water coming over the footpath and entering the pub.

I have requested ERYC to consider lifting the kerb stones outside the New Inn as currently they are level with the road. Lifting the kerbs may assist in lighter rain but they would not prevent flooding with the volume of rain on Thursday evening.
