The Standards Committee meeting held at County Hall on Tuesday 23 October was characterised by erroneous statements made by ERYC Head of Legal Mathew Buckley.

All Councillors clearly fell for Mathews smoke screen. This was confirmed by the fact that they all failed to ask Mathew fundamental questions.

Fortunately Independent Councillor Andy Strangeway recorded the attempted smoke screen.

Conservative Councillor Symon Fraser

The only aspect of the meeting that was worthy of praise is that it was well Chaired by Conservative Councillor Symon Fraser.
