ERYC Head of Legal, Mathew Buckley, has admitted a failure of due process in response to a question from Conservative Councillor John Dennis. On Tuesday 23 October 2018 Cllr Dennis enquired if a member breaching Data should be dealt with by the Standards Committee.

Mathew confirms “that would be a matter for the Information Commissioners Office to decide”.

Whoops.

So why was my breach of Data, which has resulted in being banned from access to confidential documents, dealt with by the Standards Committee instead of ICO?

ERYC clearly failed to follow due process.
