Air Pollution Tests – Pocklington Provincial

A resident raised concerns with me as to air pollution in the Pocklington Provincial Ward. I referred the enquiry to ERYC and requested any data for the seven parishes that form Pocklington Provincial.

The table below gives a summary of the maximum annual mean NO2 concentrations
recorded periodically over the years in some of the parishes in Pocklington Provincial. The Government’s Air Quality Objective for annual mean NO2 concentrations is set at 40μg/m3:

NB: Hayton is in Wolds Weighton

No monitoring has been undertaken at the remaining parishes I requested, as these aren’t, in general, subject to the volumes of traffic that would lead us to suspect the air quality
objective is at risk of exceedance.
