ERYC Number 200 In Pot Hole League Table

A Stamford Bridge resident and cyclist has drawn my attention to a league table that shows ERYC in 200th place out of 213 for how they address pot holes.

The league table ranks highway authorities according to hazards reported through FillThatHole.org.uk, and shows which authorities are best at fixing their road defects and reporting back to them.

It is noticeable that there is no north/south divide as:

  • The North East (and Tameside) proudly takes the top 1 to 9 places
  • York is number 20
  • North Yorkshire sits at 88

Yet the situation is made even worse for East Riding residents as Hull is ranked 204.

Fill That Hole exposes, not only the dire situation with East Riding roads, but how ERYC communication with those who report pot holes is so shameful.

Conservative Spin

Over recent weeks, as an election is pending in May, East Riding Conservatives are bombarding residents with leaflets informing residents how they listen, act and deliver.

They even have the audacity to claim that “East Riding Conservatives are committed to road maintenance”.

Conservative Led ERYC

I politely suggest that those who are producing, smiling from and delivering the Tory propaganda proclaiming how wonderful the Conservative Led ERYC are, support me in requesting ERYC Chief Executive Caroline Lacey, Director Paul Bellotti and Portfolio Holder Symon Fraser take action to ensure that ERYC join our North East neighbours in the Fill That Hole Top Ten.

I request Caroline, Paul and Symon answer the residents question:

“What (do) the council intend to do to improve this situation in the future?”
