This afternoon I was disgusted to learn that Arthur Woodcock’s mothers grave had been desecrated. The wreath and MUM was removed from the grave. Arthur’s mother only passed away three months ago.

A lady informed Arthur that she had seen men clearing the flowers from graves and that they had put them into the wheelie bins. Upon looking in the wheel bin Arthur found the wreath and MUM in the bottom.

Arthur had made the wreath with flowers from his mother’s home his wife made the MUM.

If those responsible undertook the clearance work for Pocklington Town Council I would request that the Council explain their actions to Arthur.

If this has nothing to do with the Council I request they join me in condemning the desecration.
