The first direct action against the Leeming Bar Industrial Estate and surrounding areas Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) will take place the week commencing Monday 15 July. This will be on an evening to work best around everyone’s diaries.

The direct action will simply be an overnight meeting to discuss the PSPO.

Hambleton District Council (HDC)

In the interests of transparency, I have informed Councillor Carl Les who is an HDC Councillor for Leeming Bar and Leader of North Yorkshire County Council and Steven Lister, HDC Director of Leisure and Communities of our planned meeting.

I will endeavour to inform Carl and Steven up to 24 hours in advance of the direct action. I will also text Carl our exact location when we are in situ.

This allows HDC adequate time to either resolve the impasse or issue Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) against us.

Any FPNs issued will successfully be challenged through the courts.
