SBC Require Evidence = Naughty Step Removal

It would appear that my publishing of Argos Leak By Cllr Michelle Donohue-Moncrieff has put certain officers at Scarborough Borough Council (SBC) in a bit of a tizzy.

At 16.59, Ms Petra Jackson was rather addled when she sent me the email above. This was clearly meant for me old mucker Lisa Dixon, seeking advice and permission from the Chief Controller. I must congratulate Petra for mixing my email address with Lisa’s, as they are not at all alike.

Petra was then engulfed with an “Oh, flip! I should not have sent that. How silly of me!” moment. Sadly, she failed to take her Grandfather’s advice and stop digging. Ms Jackson then attempted to cover her tracks by sending a RECALL email.

Woe it was to be for Petra, as she not only failed to recall the original email, but also sent me the RECALL to confirm that the Chief Controller was still awaiting her email. Is it time for tea yet, Thomas?

At 12.21 Mike Greene, SBC Chief Executive, had received an email from a SBC Councillor with numerous SBC Councillors copied in. This drew young Mike’s attention to Argos Leak By Cllr Michelle Donohue-Moncrieff and requested:

“A full investigation with witnesses who could give their information to a members panel this should include Mr Strangway and Mr Ward.”

Mr Greene, no doubt after extensive consultation with the Chief Controller, replied to the Councillor at 17.08 and confirmed:

It is rather amusing to note:

“…or any other person”

There are three people to whom this applies:

  1. Tim Thorne
  2. Nigel Ward
  3. Andy Strangeway

Unfortunately for Mike, all three currently have seats at the nine-seat SBC Naughty Table and are banned from communicating with SBC, including Lisa “Chief Controller” Dixon, aka the Monitoring Officer.

I quite like being on the naughty table, especially with the six-month free parking pass SBC has so kindly granted me. But, like my fellow campaigners, Tim and Nigel, I am a reasonable person. I am sure we would all happily assist Mike in his hour of need.

All that is required of Mike is an agreed individual apology for all of the conduct SBC have subjected the three of us to. We could not be fairer. Without such an apology, many would consider that the actions of Lisa and Mike are interfering with a Police Investigation. Not something to put on a CV if applying for a new job in 2022.

Pick Your Option Mike

I kindly offer Mike three simple options:

  • Option 1 – engage with Tim, Nigel and myself to agree to a form of words for the apology. Upon which, said evidence will wizz its way over to you.
  • Option 2 – encourage Councillor Michelle Donohue-Moncrieff to take me to court for naming her. This action would result in the evidence being laid before the court.
  • Option 3 – do nowt and wait for the next Vote of No Confidence in the not so Great Leader, Councillor Siddons. The evidence would then be made public less than 24 hours before the said vote.

Of course, I am sure Tim and Nigel both join me in reserving their right to publish said evidence at any time they feel appropriate.

Finally, let us now go back to Petra. At 17.10 she invited me to register a formal complaint against Councillor Michelle Donohue-Moncrieff.

I would like to point out to Petra that she has breached the contract SBC offered and I gratefully accepted. In addition, I am on the Naughty Table so am unable to take such action. But thank you for the offer.

Surely, this was not an attempt to get evidence from me via the back door?

And today is only Monday. Another four days to go for what looks like a l-o-n-g week at SBC Headquarters.
