Prison Stop/Go Sign System Unlawful

The control of traffic by means of manual ‘stop and go’ boards must be carried out in accordance with the Safety at Street Works Code of Practice to ensure safety to site personnel and without causing confusion to traffic.

Failure to comply with this Code is evidence of failing to “fulfil the legal requirements to sign, light and guard works”.

As a starting point to operating the stop/go sign system lawfully would either ERYC or Full Sutton & Skirpenbeck Parish Council like to advise why I and others witnessed the stop/go sign system being operated without the required boards or signage yesterday?

To assist I share: Safety at Street Works Code of Practice (Click on the link to open).

I hope ERYC Highways enjoy the 108-page read. But will they take the required actions to ensure that they “fulfil the legal requirements to sign, light and guard works”.

The situation is not acceptable. Why is ERYC so abysmal?
