ERYC Election – Scaife Garth – Fond Memories

With the damp weather forecast for today, I made an early start delivering leaflets in Pocklington, covering Barmby Road, George Street, Scaife Garth and West Green.

Having instigated the upgraded residents car park in February 2018 it was a delight to take a stroll with a purpose around Scaife Garth. It gave me the opportunity to reminisce about a school friend’s birthday party when we were still in Junior School. Does anyone remember the two classrooms they have now demolished – Mr Carr’s and Mrs Peacock’s? Don’t get me going about the old infants school!

I am pleased to confirm that each day since the leaflet distribution began on Monday traffic to this blog has increased. It would appear that the QR Code is working as required to keep residents informed.

I would like to thank those who have already raised unaddressed issues with me. I am especially grateful for the kind words of support.

A big thank you to a special friend and member of Team Strangeway for his endeavours today in distributing leaflets to the Yapham Road/Algarth section.
